More "likes", more applause, more money, more stuff. It's no surprise that we are obsessed with achieving and accumulating, and we are never satisfied no matter what! Since moving out to Del Rio at the southern edge of Texas, I've been reminded that it's ok to just be, and It's been nice. There isn't a ton out here, but if you enjoy being a busy body, there are definitely things you can find to do if you'd like. I do want to eventually take the time to check it all out...the canyons, the rivers, the cute little country shows and hole in the wall restaurants, but there really is a much more laid back vibe out here that reminds me, I don't have to do it all at once!
My husband started his pilot training about 3 weeks ago, and things are picking up for him fast! If you pray, I would love it if you keep him in your prayers. Like drinking through a fire hose, he's got packets and packets and books and books of information he has been given to ingest, and I do not envy him one bit! This has made it very clear to me that my number one priority is supporting him this year, so I have taken on the job as professional wife :).
I'm still finding time to do what I love, that is taking pictures, and I will do my absolute best to keep everyone informed of the happenings with Fingerprints and our time out here in Del Rio. However, I'm taking it slow, I'm not in a rush, as dinner will be on the table when my husband gets home...(or slightly after :) ). I'm not an anti-feminist, or a feminist, I just love my husband and want to see him succeed!
In my spare moments, I have taken the time to expand my skills by listening to Creative Live seminars. If you are a creative and you have time on your hands to take some classes, I highly suggest www.creativelive.com. One of the classes I took was turning photographs into oil paintings on photoshop, and this was the picture I attempted:
